To purchase an NFT minted on the Polygon blockchain, you’ll need to ensure your MetaMask wallet is connected to the Polygon network. By default, MetaMask doesn’t have Polygon added as a network, however it only takes a couple of minutes to add it.
Step 1: Add a network
To begin, open MetaMask and select the network dropdown menu. This will likely be represented by a button indicating ‘Ethereum Mainnet’ since it is the default network.
Next, click on ‘Add Network’ to open the network details popup.
Step 2: Add Polygon’s network information
A page will open prompting you to add new network information. You can copy the fields below to add the Polygon network.
Step 3: Toggle your MetaMask to Polygon
Now that you’ve added the Polygon network, you can toggle your MetaMask wallet between the Ethereum and Polygon networks by again clicking on the network dropdown menu.
You’ll need to toggle to the Polygon network before completing any purchase of Polygon NFTs on RareCircles.
